I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington. My research focus lies in software security, and trustworthy machine learning. I am particularly interested in secure, ethical, and copyright-aware code generation using large language models; privacy-policy analysis and enforcement; and adversarial machine learning for audio and emerging visual representations, including 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), 4D Gaussian Splatting (4DGS), and world models. More broadly, my research develops data-driven techniques to identify attack surfaces, uncover privacy leakage, and improve the security and trustworthiness of interconnected and emerging computing platforms.
My work has been published in top venues, including IEEE S&P, USENIX Security, NDSS, ISSTA, EMNLP, ICML, ACM IMWUT/UbiComp, The Web Conference (WWW), PoPETs/PETS, and SOUPS. My research findings have been acknowledged by major technology companies, including Google, and have resulted in the disclosure of several
CVEs. I have also been fortunate to receive several awards and recognitions, including Microsoft Research Award, UTA's Roots of Dedication-Service Award, CPS Rising Star Award, the University of Virginia Endowed Graduate Fellowship Award, the Link Lab Outstanding Graduate Research Award.
I received my Ph.D. from the University of Virginia (UVA) in 2023 under the supervision of Professor Yuan Tian. I also interned at Baidu Research, where I worked with Dr. Ping Li and Dr. Yingjie Lao. Before joining UVA, I worked as a software engineer in the Security Lab at Kona Software Lab Ltd. in Bangladesh. I received my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2016.
